Kindread Terms of Service

Welcome to Kindread. Kindread is a reading discovery and recommendation platform designed to help readers track books, organize their reading lives, and share thoughtful recommendations with people they trust. Kindread is intended to provide a calm, respectful, and community-oriented reading experience—a “digital sanctuary” for book lovers.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use Kindread. By using the Service, you represent that you are legally able to enter into these Terms and that the information you provide is accurate.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us promptly of unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Ownership: You retain ownership of the content you create (reviews, notes, lists). By sharing content, you grant Kindread a limited license to host and display it so the app can function.

Book Metadata: Book titles, descriptions, and cover art are the property of their respective copyright holders and are used for informational purposes only.

Our Property: Kindread branding, logos, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

Kindread is a space for thoughtful engagement. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Post “performative” spam or deceptive material.
• Attempt to scrape data or interfere with platform security.
• Use automated systems to disrupt the Service.

Your use of Kindread is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We prioritize data minimization and never sell your personal information to third parties.

Kindread is in active development. Features may change, contain bugs, or be removed as we evolve the platform. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.

Kindread is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kindread and its operators shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of data, or service interruptions. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

You may stop using Kindread and delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data will be processed according to our Privacy Policy. We may suspend access if you violate these Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
